Note su Giovanni Coda

Giovanni Coda, videoartista, fotografo e regista cinematografico nasce artisticamente nel 1990. Nel
1995 fonda l’Associazione Socio Culturale Labor e nel 1996 il V-art (Festival Internazionale
Immagine d’Autore).
Ha 45 opere video all’attivo, diverse collezioni fotografiche e una vasta attività espositiva suddivisa
fra pittura, fotografia e videoinstallazioni.
Negli ultimi anni ha realizzato mostre e performance di video arte presentate e premiate in Italia e
all'estero. Le sue opere sono state esposte a Madrid, Huelva, Assuncion, Siviglia, Barcellona,
Francoforte, Berlino, Londra, Parigi, Tokyo, Kyoto, Beijing, New York, Amsterdam, Colonia,
Roma, Milano, Venezia, Bergamo e altre città.
Dopo la realizzazione de Il Rosa Nudo, è attualmente è impegnato nella pre-produzione del suo
nuovo lavoro Four Lives on a Frame, ispirato alle vite e alle opere di Francesca Woodman, Diane
Arbus, Claude Cahun e Tina Modotti.

Giovanni Coda
A video artist, photographer and filmmaker, Giovanni Coda started his career in 1990.
In 1995 he founded a Cultural Association named Labor and in 1996 the V-art (National Festival of
Independent Video Productions).
During these last years, Giovanni Coda has realised forty-five video projects, several photographic
collections and a huge activity of exhibitions comprehending paint, photography and video
installations. His exhibitions and video art performances have been premiered and awarded in Italy
and abroad: Madrid, Huelva, Assuncion, Seville, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Berlin, London, Paris,
Tokyo, Kyoto, Beijing, New York, Amsterdam, Cologne, Rome, Milan, Venice, Bergamo and many
other cities.
After directing his first experimental feature film project, Naked Rose, he is now in pre-production
with his latest project titled Four Lives on a Frame, inspired to Francesca Woodman, Diane Arbus,
Claude Cahun andTina Modotti lives and works.
